Not that it would have normally mattered, but they made her black-black so much that it was an unnecessary part of her character.

Why is it always black people? They speak of diversity and yet its always black, maybe asians, and arabs are invisible.

Asians are often lumped in with white people because they also behave like civilized humans. Arabs...umm we're talking about Jewflix here

"Blackwashing" doesn't have the same emotional ring, as "whitewashing". I get what you're saying, but it doesn't resonate.

A better term is needed.

Maybe "whiteout", or something.

Whiteout certainly implies revisionism.
