That was me today. I got home and my cat had been tearing up my apartment chasing a live bird he'd brought in and chased around. It took me half an hour to catch it in a jar to release behind the garage where it could catch its breath and chill out freely.

catch it? For what? You put the cat in a box or a bathroom and open all your windows. The bird will sort it eventually.
