Daily addendum: Those really weren't scientists. Treating science like a cult helps to squelch dissent by utilizing the irrational screeches of the brainwashed cultist followers.

Scientism: The belief that the scientific method is suitable to all fields of inquiry. This is a religion but they usually won't admit it.

They also won't admit their whole worldview is cockeyed when they find physical measurements contradict it, they just wrap their nonsense around the new data and pretend all is fine with the underlying theory.

Christians, on the other hand, can read how old the universe is to within a few years, as well as give a perfect explanation for these supposed discrepancies and anomalies. If you will allow God made it, you should also allow God can make it look old. This is literally too complicated for a rocket surgeon but a child can understand it LOL
