To be fair to the Lakota the entire situation with Mt. Rushmore being built and the US government just up and ignoring their treaty with them is pretty indefensible. But that's all history.

It is very convenient for Ben & Jerry's to make the claim that land they don't own in the middle of nowhere go back to the Indians. But as you say if they are really committed to it they should start by returning the land they own to whomever it was "stolen from" as I am fairly sure they are an East Coast based company and the Indians out there basically got conquered and exiled.

Also point against the Lakota, I have sympathy to the "they rammed through a government project on our holy mountain" argument, right up until the point they start blowing up a different mountain right next door to build a giant indian statue, nothing against the statue I think it is cool, but it totally sinks that argument of theirs.
