What millions of workers? There are still many, many people who work physical jobs. AI will not replace intellectual labour either. Teachers will never get replaced by AI -- the covid pandemic showed that people do need an actual person in class. Doctors -- last time I checked chatGPT couldn't perform an operation. Etc.

Teachers will never get replaced by AI

Teachers are the first people we should replace with AI. What happened with at home learning was that there was no replacement education, it was just a complete scrambling of routines and structure for kids and made it extremely easy for them to avoid the stresses of paying attention.

The data on homeschooling is in. With 3 hours of education at home most kids do better than the 6 hours they waste at school.

A proper interactive education program that is driven by engagement and adjusts to the student's knowledge and abilities would be like a private tutor.

The big problem with improving education is that most kids are limited by IQ. Improving education is like paving a dirt road. Some cars benefit a lot, some not at all. If your junker can't get going faster than 10mph a paved road won't help. That is the biggest hurdle to improvement because a lot of people want to hold back everyone in the name of equity.
