I heard they have found a way to regrow them. Yeah, but it comes out short and stumpy like Danny Devito's. If interested, send $10k via saidit and I'll hook you up.

I'll bet it's one of those banned African penis rituals, right? Have some witch doctor blow powdered albino bones all over your crotch, coat the area in hippo semen, and then have a virgin girl paint your face with her menstrual blood, and in 7 days you'll have a savannah-ready dong to satisfy any woman!

This has me feeling extremely suicidal.

Ya don't say!

That's the statistic that the TRA will never talk about when they talk about trans kids necking themselves because they don't get their titty skittles and knifejobs.

Nono trans people do mention the suicide statistics a lot but they use it so people spread acceptance when in reality most of these suicides are the trans people themselves not accepting the situation.

Such a eunique situation...

This creepy fucker from the comments:

"Transhumanist science will come to the rescue within a few decades at most (maybe less than a decade otherwise). If nothing else because I'll do it on my own dammit. Don't worry too much about the time scales, biological immortality will allow us to rejuvenate. The truth is that we only have the future, not the past, so don't worry about the past. Fight for the future that will be thankful you did at all."

Just nightmare fuel... don't worry about that dick you lopped off bro, we're ditching the whole "biology" thing anyway and turning into evil deities! And I'm totally sure you're broke ass will have access to all of it!

Ever the optimist. I've been reading similar claims from popular science magazine for decades. Funnily enough their predictions rarely come true in this area, you always see that side of mad science though, humans can live forever promises, usually coupled with good ways to scam rich people of loads of money. Like with Cryonics. You die we freeze your corpse then just revive you in the future after we figure out how to reverse death, lol yeah ok simple. But first we gotta figure out exactly what life is eh.

Growing back limbs is gonna be a super complicated endeavor. Pretty great if we ever manage it but it's hard enough now to make functional prosthetic limbs. I think scientists are just utterly frustrated that you can take some uneducated woman and have her make life without even knowing how it works yet for all our scientific advances we still can't figure out exactly how to make life in a lab.

I'm no biologist but I'd expect the tech this guy is dreaming of is more than a few decades off. A century perhaps? Perhaps more. Hard to say. You'll always have these discussions with the pop-sci types about whatever is in the discussion. Rememeber getting into a pretty headed argument with someone over self driving cars a while back. The tech to make them is basically there, has been for a while now. But where the claim was that they'd be mass market ready in several years I found that ludicrous considering the financial and legal challenges facing their rollout.

There will be similar kinks to rule out whenever they figure out how to make the body grow it's own shit back. One of those kinks will definitely be cancer.

If the dude is right that's creepy as hell.

I think it's the problem of confusing theoretical plausibility (science fiction) with practical applicability.

What the guy is talking about isn't "impossible" in the sense there is a clear material argument that can be made to show the ides is "plausible" but actually finding a way to do it is much harder and typically skipping a much harder interim step that is going to be the point on which the whole idea lives or dies on.

It's like the articles you read about the faster than light drive research NASA is doing. There's an idea in scientific literature for a mathematically plausible space time configuration that would allow for faster than light travel. So it's "technically possible" but, we have absolutely zero idea on how we could go about building a device that could produce the required space time configuration, the leading theories predict that we'd need "negative energy" to make one, and well there is absolutely no evidence that it even exists.

The sci-fi theoretical stuff is more fun to think about then going into the hardline physics equations and biochemical processes of life so naturally they end up getting more discussion. But it's like the self driving car predictions, people been saying we'd have those in a few years for many years now. I think it's a bit of a pipe dream. Tech is there, legal and social barriers are also there. Tech is also imperfect and doesn't work so great for many real life scenario's.

Building a car that can drive itself on the highway? Easy enough, reckon all cars will eventually have that tech standard in, 50 years? Don't know why you'd pay extra for it now.

Building a car that can navigate a chaotic city scape with pedestrians and bicycles everywhere. Yeah ain't gonna happen soon. You can't even rely on applications like Google maps to give practical directions when you get away from the overplanned american car paradise where google was designed. How is a self driving car going to handle temporary road closures due to construction or accidents or whatever that haven't been reported to whatever central database is controlling that. The cop is going to just stop there, point you in the direction of the detour, and the car is gonna bug out and not work I reckon. Probably will try to do infinite u turns or something.

I remember one time my GPS glitched out and routed me about 1000km out of my way to go 30km down the street. It was funny, mostly because I could laugh at it's nonsense and assume manual control.

I've had friends that just assume the GPS is always right and it's just infuriating to tell them to use their own brain sometimes. If the GPS says go left but the road sign says go right, I think the road sign is almost always going to be more accurate than the GPS program. Don't even know if the GPS routing has been practically tested or not for route viability. I've had my GPS try to route me down roads that don't exist, pedestrian only shopping arcades, and even tunnels with a clearance of only one meter. Can't trust the damn thing.

Yea. They just need to make cutting off hood body parts illegal. There’s not many of these people, and the amount of regret is massive.

As a matter of principle I only object to female to "male" transitioners, we already have too many dicks out there, don't need any more. That daughter of Cher and Ellen Page are worse than cancer for the bad examples they set.

This breaks my heart. You know this guy was guided by bad parents and a greedy doctor to mutilate himself.

Yes pretty sad isn't it can you imagine being a young dude and getting derailed into cutting off your penis and your testicles and then figuring out it was a mistake holy moly
