There are loads of men only clubs here.

I have never come across a mason in America of either gender, but I've never felt lacking in men's spaces

Correct. I do remember driving past a masonic lodge in the Portland area when I lived there that I was always curious about, but I have never met anyone that professed to be a mason. Is that a common thing in the UK?
