Do your best to be self-reliant, self-sufficient, and helpful, and accept help in kind with much thanks and without shyness.
Analyze the things that are subjectively important and inspirational to you, focus on these deeper meanings, cultivate them, find purpose, work hard on these passions, and through all the perpetual suffering you'll find deeper joy, fulfillment, and well being that transcends the pain and all the ephemeral and fleeting happiness.
Live in gratitude, live with compassion, and find grace in the journey, not the destination. Keep aiming for zen.
