Instead of weekly religious brainwashing sermons all we get on TV is authoritarian bullshit about cops, lawyers, agents, etc. telling us how much the system actually works for us.

Maybe it could be beneficial to turn on something else than the news from to time, if anything at all? :) I myself don't have a TV, only watch it when I visit my grandparents. We have a public TV paid by a special tax paid by most citizens, which sometimes tries to sneak in all kinds of nonsense even though it's supposed to be objective etc.

Probably. If I had a bunch of money I couldn't spend on anything maybe I would be tempted to use it to promote my interests just like the rich people do, who knows haha.
