              I would not have had her take revenge necessarily if it was up to me. I have no problem with Muhammed. It isn't reasonable to rip the whole episode out of its context. Morality was different at the time. Muhammed had been dishonoured by someone from that village, which was one of the worst things that could happen to someone, and this was his retaliation. Note that what he did was part of life in the ancient world; it happened more often. I'm not defending it, but I don't think it's something people have to get angry about.

              Unlikely. Jews initially thrived after the Muslim takeover because they received new freedoms. Islamic antisemitism developed only in the last couple of centuries.

                Again you're approaching history with modern values. People conquered each other all the time. No, I'm not talking out of my ass. I haven't studied the subject in depth, so I'm not going to claim absolute knowledge about it. Sources can always be wrong, although in this case I have no reason to doubt them. Whether or not I've been inside a masjid is irrelevant.
