I'm 400% anti lockdown. But I can't go behind anti-mask. I just don't see the argument agaisnt mask.

If mask are as useless as you say, why aren't doctors working without them? N95 mask reduce the covid spread. They don't stop it, but they reduce it. Mask have low efficiency, but that efficiency isn't 0. Yet their opportunity cost is nearly 0.

doctors work over open wounds, and masks stop bacterial contamination.

I have a mask to stop viral contamination. It has a full face shield, and pumps air through a ULPA+ filter. It stops me catching anything, but doesn't stop me shedding.

viruses are small.

Yet their opportunity cost is nearly 0.

This is not true. There are many studies that show increased upper respiratory issues with people who wear masks, and that's before the environmental and psychological cost is taken into account.

A mask is just a hijab, by proxy. Those who wear them are accepting their subjugation by the state.

In Canada during winter, everyone have their full face covered because its cold. The mask just change the texture of what cover your face from the cold wind.

Really? I live in Montréal and I remember waiting for the bus at -40 degrees to go to school with not even a hat, and my hair completely iced up because I had freshly showered. We get used to it and we'd call anybody who was born here a sissy for wearing a full face covering because of the cold.

OK maybe in the arctic circle during a blizzard. But hardly anybody lives there but the Inuit are they so acclimated, they go ski-dooing at 100 km/h with NO GLOVES at -60 celsius.

You must not often go outside if you think that's how most Canadian live. Nothing's wrong with protecting yourself from the cold. In fact, it's the rational approach.

Mask are low cost and reduce the contamination. same for washing hands at the entrance of shops.

Lockdown cause unemployement, massive debt, inflation and unemployement is strongly correlated with higher mortality rate.

Lockdown is like getting rid of an ants infestation by burning your house.

I think masks and hand washing only help lower covid by like 3%. Lock downs and social distancing 100%. Of course we need to bail out the people and I don't mean just $1,400 one time. Tax the rich to pay for it.

Problem is, the rich control the gouvernment. So they won't get tax. Instead we'll all get more poor through inflation.

Because with inflation, even if you're wage go up to fight it, it will make you jump tax bracket and pay more tax.

maybe but thar never happened before when we raised wages and anyway this is an emergency so do it anyway. use price controls to stop inflation if needed. anything essential like food.

Will you wear a mask while hiking? Because, that is the law in many places now. Tell me how that fucking makes sense. A healthy person should not wear a mask unless they are subjected to dangerous chemicals for work. Not while hiking. Not while walking through the grocery store.

In Canada we don't need mask outside. Only inside. Also, it's easier to have everyone wear mask than having someone judge if those who don't wear them are healthy or not.

How about we judge ourselves, like we always have before this charade? This isn't about what is easier, it is about what is right.

I'm glad that in Canada you do not have to wear a mask outside.

i think jones and his base will end up at a horrible place in a couple decades, the best being fed by a UBI plan. just look at all the self-mockery on 4chan and sites like that. deep down they know, like the bigfoot community, that they're just a bunch of losers finding whatever esoteric mysteries to sustain their lives, kinda like the an early stage of end of the romanoff dynasty and the qing dynasty, you got rasputins and cult disguised as christians and such.
