Okay. Let's play Devil's Advocate.

Either they do Black Superman where the story doesn't change at all, in which case, nothing changes, and people will accuse them of white-washing or some other bullshit.

Option B: They try to add a more suburban home environment rather than his original "growing up in a small town by a farm" mentality, and basically re-make Static Shock, but this time it's superman instead of Static Shock. There's no way they'd be able to get it to work in today's woke world. No writer with a sense of pride would attempt such a serious story, and see it censored to hell and back, without losing their soul in the process.

Looking back at the Static Shock cartoon from the 2000's with nostalgia tinted glasses... It was a good show. The white sidekick wasn't a bumbling moron. He was common sense in the background trying to stop fights, but still willing to have your back when shit went down. If I remember right the cartoon in the 2000's was still heavily censored compared to the comic books it was based off of. And that was 2000 era censorship. A tenth of the crap we have today.

I have a hard time seeing how the twitards and media wouldn't rip a black superman movie to shreads if it were made. There's no way they would be able to do it right while remaining politically correct.
