This is what I wrote:

Are you changing the world in some meaningful way? If not, and you don't even produce someone who might, you are just wasting resources.

Then you replied with:

So every great visionary, (blah blah blah) did NOTHING if they didn't squirt out a rugrat?

So clearly you did not understand English. Or you are this woman.

If you made the world better in some way that will survive you then you are not a waste of resources. If you have kids that constitutes making the world a better place. Otherwise you are a waste of resources. So, yes, it does matter what you are or are not doing.

If you are doing nothing now then adding the responsibility of rearing a child isn't going to help. It's a long arduous journey not to be taken lightly and I don't blame people for wanting to do it. If they're losers now then why do you want their loser offspring anyway?
