I mean it happens, but Ashkenazi Jews are genetically almost the same as Southern Meds. They almost never have blue eyes.

You might have ran into one with higher than usual Euro admixture.

There are A LOT of Jews in south Florida where I live. I remember waking one night and all I could see is Jews all around me.

Southern Mediterraneans are Greeks and Southern Italians. Ashkenazi Jews overlap with those populations on a genetic level, to the point where you could essentially say they’re the same.

Because that “southern med” genetic cluster has ~50% middle eastern admixture, all are less likely to have blue eyes than say ... an Anglo.

Pretty straightforward.

I’m half Jewish myself (ethnically, not culturally). I was mostly raised by my non Jewish parent. I’m the only one that doesn’t have blue eyes on that side of the family (mine are light brown / dark green). Also, none of the Jewish half of my family has blue eyes and I almost never meet any genetic Jews with blue eyes.

REDACTED Tell me what you think, don't i look pretty anglo? All my grandparents are ashkenazi jews. I got 2 grandparents from Poland, 1 grandparent from hungary, 1 grandparent who is part American and part Russian. Also how jewish do you think i look? lol
