If you now would consider doing the css for my subs i'd consider paying you. :)

Shit, do i hate doing anything else other than haskell, prolog or julia ? YES . :-P

Is anything of this actually doable in Rust ? sad future noises .

Part 3 of 4

This may all sound peculiar, but the method to my madness will unfurl...

I don't want to unnecessarily complicate things, but if it's under a certain amount I have in mind, I'd like you to directly give it to /u/Robin, the new admin of WikiSpooks.com (/s/WikiSpooks) now because it is not financially sustainable yet (we're working on a campaign as well as future plans). If it's under a second certain amount, I'd like split it and give it to WikiSpooks AND to SaidIt. If it's more than that, or much more, I'm very happy to receive a third, or more.

I've already had this peculiar concept in mind for another project. I have painted, am painting, and will paint 5 or more very different styled paintings that I will present to the SaidIt community as an auction. I'm thinking that anyone can bid on whichever painting they want and the highest bidder will get that painting. The previous paragraph explains what I'd do with the auction results with one painting. If it goes much better than I can hope for (I don't have grand expectations) then I'll be inclined to sell the other works as well raising more for the sites asap plus into the future. Ultimately it depends on our communities in these strange times, as well as whatever I can try to impress with. I'm prepared for the worst and hoping for the best.

One painting will be a modernized riff on DuckDuckGo: Roy Lichtenstein. I sketched the second image last summer or fall, I forget. I didn't have Lichtenstein in mind then. All the rest has been scattered since a dozen days ago, August 9, when we had a 4 piece band play for our back yard jam. https://InfoGalactic.com/info/File:Litch_Lady_07.jpg Obviously there's much remaining: much more and smaller dots (I should have looked at some Lichtensteins before I started painting), cleaner lines, some kind of interesting background graphic, cleanup, and the speech bubble can either say, "I SAID IT!" and/or we can have a meme-phrase contest. Or - I could ditch the speech bubble and put in something else all together (ie. Biden sniffing her hair).

If there's further interest, while the painting may eventually leave my hands, I can first get a proper photo or scan of it to be used on merchandise in an online store. If that goes well I can easily clean up a SVG vectorized version to share like the SaidIt logo, and with the WikiSpooks logo all those graphics can be used in any variety of ways to artfully play with designs on merch. What type of merch is yet to be determined. Not just my designs but ideally anyone could propose or design stuff and have it made and sold while fundraising. But I digress.

I wanted to run these lofty goals by /u/magnora7 and /u/d3rr and /u/Robin for feedback before I go and make any grand posts without their okay. I don't want to jeopardize with any weird legal loophole tax crime thing or whatever that I don't know about. Maybe that should be the focus of my first post on this matter - if I get the green light.

In addition to the paintings I've started and others in my to do list of creative ideas (some too advanced to delve into until after Bittersweet Seeds is done), I am also game to interactively develop a painting or few - accept painting concept ideas, meme ideas, requests, etc. and openly sharing the process in a feed like /s/GlossedOver and/or /s/GlossedAndProfound. The interaction and ideas would have to be strong enough to motivate my enthusiasm.

Part 4 of 4

There is no part 4.

(I think I may still have the studio CD version on a CD somewhere. Those guys toured through Sheridan College near Toronto in the early 90s. They were very nice guys, funny, and talented.)

I just add a you as mod and you do the artwork and css how you see fit. I'm only doing well in theory of colours. For DigitalAikido i somewhat want a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vishnu styled theme. Codes is cryptography somewhat. Knots is topology, so imo it should be somewhat purple themed (but not too harsh). NumberTheory is the secret king of math. That is why i regard this one to be somewhat golden or orange. GraphTheory should be somewhat blue, because its "algebra" in the widest sense. With StreetArt i'll let you do you complete own thing bc. i honestly god no idea how to theme this. Sheafs is too complex for me to answer at this point in time.

If it takes too much time, tell me your patreon or something like that. My bitcoin wallets are almost all empty.

Part 1 of 4

You have my full attention.

Full disclosure: I have and will continue to offer to do people's CSS and/or banners for free. You included.

I have a bunch of my own subs plus 3 or 4 others that are in my To Do Que. I will get to those when I get to those. Some people have laser-like focus. I am a disco ball.

On the other hand, cash is king. I always aim to please my clients, including being timely. If we reach a working accord, you will become my main priority until it's done.

More disclosure: I am not a coder. I am a hack, as we all are until we learn enough to become "professional".

I don't know what "haskell, prolog or julia" are but I assume they are like Rust, a geekery code thingy. All I can do is my best within my limits.

Here are most of my SaidIt banners.

I've worked on 4 CSS themes:

/s/DecentralizeAllThings - "Ergonomix", on most of my subs and several others. I was planning to make a subtle "Ergonomix-Muted" without the bright colours since most people aren't blind.

/s/Wikispooks - "SaidItron", a theme featuring 2 colours with a range between that can be easily swapped to make another duo-tone theme in minutes. Presently the WikiSpooks purple is very vibrant to better see coding adjustments and when finished will be milder, like the logo in the sidebar. Also when done, I'll apply the theme to /s/GreenParty in greens of course, and /s/PinUps in flesh tones.

/s/CorbettCommenters - "SimpleTweaks", a minimalist copy+paste CSS theme to enhance SaidIt's default CSS. This simple CSS is also perfect for novice CSS designers to learn on and customize. Not much code for mostly big bold changes. Nothing fancy nor finessed.

/s/Coronavirus - was "SimpleTweaks-Viral", slightly different with additional tweaks, but it's long since been changed and modified, so I've just contributed a bit.

The first one, "Ergonomix" is 99.99% done. I still have yet to learn from /u/magnora7 and/or /u/d3rr how to be able to 1) add links, and 2) write multiple lines in the sidebox - specifically the grey speech bubble where it says "Decentralize All Things" so that area can be a little announcement area for links to critical info, current events, and "donate to SaidIt", obviously more prominent than the other sidebox details and info.

The second one, "SaidItron" looks mostly done, but there are many things remaining to do (my To Do List begins the stylesheet), plus I need to clean up the messy code and add a little DIY guide before I can recommend it for anyone in /s/SaiditCSSthemes to copy paste and/or to learn from it. Also, the subtle gradient banner is ssslllooowwwlllyyy animated, more obviously moving in /s/ClassWar/.

I have yet to make serious graphics beyond the banners like non-distracting backgrounds or custom buttons, and/or really dive into using animated images and/or learning the animation CSS code stuff well. I'd also like to find a way to make gradients in the code and to animate them.

I made an animated GIF for the /s/Surveillance banner but don't know how to upload GIFs like in /s/WhiteOwlSocialClub. I need to ask /u/NPC and/or /u/Enza how it was done and to invite you /u/ElifromtheBook onto that sub - and to ask to make the wiki editable. I have another hack idea that could work for animating a banner.

Part 2 of 4

Talk about strange synchronicity!...

Just before this I was watering the grass, moved an extension cord and tied a clove-hitch (missing from your sub, as is sheet bend and Bettie Page), thinking to myself that I should return to /s/Knots to check it out more, and maybe ask you if you're a sailor or scout. Act 3A (part 5 of 6) of my "Bittersweet Seeds" story takes place on a tall ship. I don't expect my story to dwell on sailing much with other stuff to say and focus on, but sooner or later I'll still be brushing up on some knots and terminology for authenticity in case and for the setting in the illustrations (though I will be using clever artful ways to minimize/maximize the detail work).

Then I happened to coincidentally post an image in /s/StreetArt - to my surprise, still only the third post, oddly all mine. More odd is that IIRC it was created by another alias who then oddly deleted their account and I thought it would be fun to make a banner for that one. Maybe I remember poorly. I had on my to do list /s/Graffiti but realized the second I saw it that /s/StreetArt is better and broader. While it's a great interest to me, sadly I haven't been delving into that topic nor posting.

You have an interesting assortment of subs. I know little to nothing about the others.

/s/Knots
/s/StreetArt
/s/DigitalAikido
/s/NumberTheory
/s/Sheafs
/s/Codes
/s/GraphTheory

" If you now would consider doing the css for my subs i'd consider paying you. "

I'll need guidance regarding what you'd like for your CSS. The more specific the better.

If you're still interested in paying I am willing to even create a new CSS theme and/or more beyond just a banner. More will get you more. Much depends on how much you are willing to pay and how much you value my efforts.

This may all sound peculiar, but the method to my madness will unfurl...
