LibreOffice is amazing. I run my entire business with it and have zero issues other then saving money.

It blows my mind people still use MS office....

People still use it because they're used to it.

I have to look a bit longer for certain features when I switch between them, and that's a bit annoying, but libreoffice is so much snappier. Then again, I'm a person of text over icon-clutter. Everybody seems to love to go towards more icon clutter because it looks sleeker. I would rather not have the top 1/5th of my screen be full of toolbars of icons.

People still use it because they're used to it.

I can't argue that. My wife tells me about her colleagues and their complete lack of competence when using a computer. A change of this magnitude would be earth shattering for them!

I enjoy LibreOffice, linux variations are okay for everyday bullshit but for work it would be just fine.

    Debian is a good choice. I'm currently using it.

    I wonder how long it will be before Micro$oft bribes them to switch back to their garbage this time. It was only a few years the last time Germany switched to Linux.
