The self checkout is poorly designed. Not enough room to bag. Then it won't let you remove items from the bagging area. They are too cramped. They put 12 self checkout lanes in the space of two conventional checkouts. It doesn't have to be that way.

Then they harass white people for going too fast because they are paranoid about theft when 90% of the theft is non white people, but it feels racist to question anyone who isn't white. So the theft will never get addressed because of wokism and the honest customers are going to become disgruntled and shop elsewhere.

The self checkout is ironically best suited in luxury minded shops in predominantly white areas, which are the least likely to implement them.

They don't harass me. I tell them if they're gonna give me shit I'll leave the mess of stuff right there and take my business across the street. You wanna reshelve all my stuff?

I like having both cashier's and self checkout available l. If I have a lot of stuff I want to put it on they conveyor and have them ring it up, but if I only have a couple things I can get in and out a lot faster doing it myself

Yeah that's basically it. I find dealing with the machines when you have lots of stuff to buy is such a pain. But for one thing. Sure I'll use them.

What I don't like is that I don't get any sort of discount or reward for using the self checkout, it's like, you want me to do more work and the price is exactly the same? Screw that I'll use the manned lane.

I haven’t seen it this way at all, but most of my shopping is done at supermarkets. There are occasional issues, but it’s more cost effective, and I prefer it to having anti-social cashiers ring up my order.

Telling some teenage brat to zip it and just ring up my shit is the highlight of my day. Your gonna whine about me not giving a fuck about your pronouns. I'm gonna ring up 300$ worth of stuff then "oops I forgot my wallet in the car, be right back" and never come back.

Who goes shopping at stores anymore? I order everything online and get it delivered to my house.

Good.

  1. If I wanted a job as a cashier, I'd apply for one.
  2. Don't promote 're-usable bags' and then not provide enough room on the "bagging area" to use them.
2a. Don't scold me about putting my re-usable bag in the bagging-area.
  3. Everything must be bar-coded. If you make me print barcodes, I expect a discount.
