Read the entire article twice, set it aside, then returned for a final perusal. Still did not understand anything about the topics under discussion. It IS a non-fiction article, right?

Does he make some fair points? Sure. But ultimately, and inevitably, the software ecosystem has become heavily dominated by FOSS in most areas, and it isn't going anywhere whether he likes it or not.
