Right to repair can also be supplemented by a ban on any components built using slave labor. It would drive up prices, incentivising people to want to repair their stuff. It also means that people who aren't slaves have more work.

Easy solution here: If any company operates in a foreign country it must obey the laws in the USA. Sound crazy? But you, citizen, are already required to do this. You can't hop over to Thailand or something and have sex with a 16 year old prostitute. But for some reason, a company can operate in China with slave labor and not have everyone brought up on charges for slavery.

Rules for thee, not for we.
