This seems like technology that should have been perfected 20 years ago. As a suspicious person I can't help but think that maybe this tech is being supressed because it is the key to more advanced anti aging treatments and no one in power wants to unleash that to the masses.

It should be increadibly cheap and easy to experiment with stem cell hair follicle generation in mice. The potential profits are there to justify investment. Yet there is complete silence on that front.

Unironically look up standardized scalp massage. It's a lack of oxygen due to tight scalp in like 75% of people who get pattern baldness, including women. Massage reinvigorates the tissue and hair grows back. Difficulty: daily 10-15 minutes massage for 8 months before you start to see results.

You can also get botox injected around the crown of your head but . . . yikes.
