This thing is being hyped beyond reason. They haven't even figured out how to extract energy out of this process. In order to have a functional power plant they'll have to zap these exquisitely machined cages with pellets of fuel at a rate of maybe 10 or more a second. Because the cage is made of gold, they also have to figure out a way not to have that vaporized gold coat the chamber. The lasers that fire at the pellet now take hours to charge up for a single shot, but remember they have to fire at a rate of 10 shots per second. They've advanced the research a little bit, but they're still very far from having a practical energy source.

It is not. This is not even the first time fusion was achieved. They are lying about this producing more energy than was put in.

They will never achieve a working fusion reactor while they still cling to their entirely broken model of the universe.

They keep pretending to know how stars work while they can't even explain the observations of our own star.
