Why are taxpayers paying for this shit? Would you open your wallet and give them money?

Definitely. The war in Ukraine is weakening Russia's military. Consequently, the US doesn't have to spend that much money on its own military. Hamas is no threat to the world and can only cause small harm to Israel. Consequently, Israel doesn't need that much money.

Also - the cost to the usual military budget is a very small fraction of its specific purpose. Closing a few US bases would help save money. Any support of Ukraine is one of the US's best investments, particularly in the post-WWII geopolitical context.

Like a Charlie Wilson war.

We aren't weakening China's military and we aren't funneling money from our military budget to the Ukraine so your argument makes no sense.

It is better to weaken at least Russia's military than have to face two hostile militaries.
