If there were such a restriction then someone like Musk could not buy Twitter and expose the gov' meddling etc

True. I do believe Musk has done the world a favor with his purchase but I see that as the exception.

My issue comes when I see people spending $30k on sushi and a million on a watch... Stuff like that gets me listening to crazy Bernie.
