Yeah, the whole thing was a Kafkaesque show trial was intended to stifle free speech and intimidate others into silence. Alex Jones did not harass the parents of the Sandy Hook kids, and many other things about him were misrepresented during the trial. Tom Woods and Robert Barnes had a great podcast on this:

Tom Woods Show Ep. 2219: The Absurd Alex Jones Trials

Robert Barnes is not a credible source on this and I'll tell you why.

When Infowars first got sued, Barnes was the lawyer representing them.

He did such a poor job that they got all kinds of sanctions and defaults.

Last year the Infowars corporate representative Brittany Paz confirmed that Infowars are considering suing Robert Barnes for malpractice. She had to reveal this under oath because any future income from a potential case against Barnes would need to be part of the bankruptcy.

So it's absolutely in Barnes' personal interest to go on podcasts and shows talking about how bad Alex got "railroaded" or whatever.

He is not a credible source because his legal knowledge amounted to malpractice - and now the more people he can convince that Alex got shafted, the better his financial outlook.

Alex did not get shafted. He did get a fair shake of the law. He did maliciously lie about the parents and - had he wanted to put up a defense, he could have done so. But he never put up a defense and so the trials were about damages only

Sounds like hearsay to me. If you have any credible sources I'll check them out. Regardless I still recommend the episode, he makes a lot of salient points. Just the fact that Jones was fined that massive amount of money for making a claim, true or not (which he later retracted), shows the insanity of the current legal system.

You just linked to 30 hours of videos from the Infowars disposition. I was asking about a source for Robert Barnes not being credible.

Here is Paz's deposition

https://youtu.be/YIczy1avGDs

1:51:36 - the list of lawyers on the case. Wait til you hear her reaction to Barnes name coming up. It's hilarious

1:56:21 - the topic of legal malpractice as an asset

But if you really were interested in that case - the channel is the one of the law firms for the parents. The videos are all Infowars under deposition. You can learn an awful lot about their inner workings and how they ended up owing 1 billion. It's also quite entertaining to watch the morons squirm

Well my leg is warm and wet and smells of ammonia, but you're telling me it's raining, so it must be rain. I should have brought an umbrella! Never can predict these sudden showers.

I don't know what you mean here, sorry. What are you trying to indicate. Are you saying I'm wrong about Infowars corporate representative saying under oath in deposition that the company are considering suing Barnes for malpractice?

[–]milkmender11 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I'm saying that I feel a warm, odorous liquid oozing down my leg, as you stand directly adjacent to me with your fly unzipped. Your finger, however, points to the sky. I do not see clouds nor is my head wet.

"Pissing on my leg and telling me it's raining"

It's a saying used by smarter people than yourself.

It's used to signify when someone is trying to convince you of something in the face of all evidence.

The saying doesn't really have any relevance here so I don't get why you keep making this childish post.

You replied to a comment with a link and timestamps. That's my evidence for the claim that Infowars are considering suing Barnes for his malpractice. It's a video of Infowars corporate representative saying exactly that.

Here's what you're trying to do:

  • pissing on your leg = telling you a lie about Barnes

  • telling you it's raining = misdirecting you with a fake claim

What are you even trying to do? It just doesn't work. You come off as a moron. I linked and timestamped my evidence. You should have given up on this childish charade as soon as you saw a youtube link

Robert Barnes is not a credible source on this and I'll tell you why.

I have to laugh at your endless disinformation peddling. It's bad comedy.

Wtf are you talking about? As I linked already below.

Oh then it's going to be really easy for you to share the joke and point out what you think I got wrong

The "trail" was like a Chinese struggle session with the prosecutor and judge screaming at Jones to admit his sins. An absolutely disgusting display, the judge should be removed and the prosecutor disbarred. If anything this kangaroo court shows just how scared they are of people waking up to their lies.
