Instead of understanding that it's probably not the best look to defend talking about anything sex related with young kids, they've decided that doubling down is the best move. It's so rediculous part of my wants to think it's a right wing psy-op with teachers planted to make the others look bad, but it is the Florida school system so room temperature IQ is to be expected.

Trust me the so called "Christo Fascists" can't even decide on what christian doctrine is correct. Their only unifying factor is an opposition to what they consider the woke. They will fall apart should they ever achieve power same as what is happening to the left now. Baptists hate Catholics who hate Mormons etc etc etc. Fuck I've seen Baptist churches split because they can't agree on whether Jesus comes again before or after the rapture. They have no organization once they have no common enemy. Even God Emperor Donald Trump gets booed at rallies when he suggests you get vaccinated.

There are religious conservatives that want to use government to legislate morality for everyone, but yes the term christofacists is not an accurate description.

Religious progressives is more apt. They hold many of the same positions as leftist progressives, utopian views on being able to control vice through authoritarian policies. Ban gambling, drinking, wrong sex, unhealthy food, etc etc etc. Only difference is they use religious justifications instead.

Apart from abortion and gay marriage they are essentially leftists. They can't even agree on these issues however which is why you'll not see them be able to agree on much besides being against the other side. They'll fall to infighting amongst themselves should they ever need to make policy and not simply counter policy.

Not everyone is like that. My family is Catholic, they don't have a bug up their ass about any other religions. There was a slight hub bub about marrying outside the faith, but that was 40 years ago last time anyone cared.

The issue is the narrative wants to paint them as handmaid's tale style authoritarians. Take the issue of abortion for example. Ask a normies what the religious right will do when they get in power and they'll say ban abortion completely to restrict women's rights.

About the only thing that they can agree on is that elective abortion is "undesirable", but there's no consensus on what laws should look like beyond banning elective abortion I the latter stages of pregnancy. Which is surprisingly not that controversial a position even on the left. There is a huge difference between the rhetoric used and what people actually believe.

      Oh. Internet drama. When I started IT we used paper punched cards so I have watched all this stuff evolve over decades. If we knew then what we know now more than half the stuff out there would have been supressed by the inventor. The guy that invented the pop up regrets doing so and I wish I had killed early forms of texting and withheld my expertise in Mobile Telephone Switch Offices and VoIP.

        Parents are being radicalized (by misinformation propaganda from the .01%) to believe this insanity, which is not part of the educational programming in any school. PARENTING is what addresses a kid's personal interests, not the school.
