Liberalism is premised on the concept that money is free. How else could someone give someone else money when the recipient needs to produce nothing at all to receive it? Money conceptually represents an exchange of value. The person receiving the money should offer a value equivalent to that which is represented by the money. In other words, by definition, if we define money as a placeholder for value, then giving money to a person for doing nothing defines that money as having zero worth.

Charity practiced individually is a gift to the recipient of the value created when the giver received the money in return for some valuable energy expended. Government welfare is not the same, because the government never created any value in the creation of the money. The money is empty, so to speak.

Long story short, when the government gives people worthless scrip and claims they are offering them power, it is a lie. The only purpose of government welfare is to give the wealthy who own the levers of power the excuse to steal from those in the population who are actually producing physical products that are true wealth, not the imaginary kind.
