Wrong-o! How are they going to get the minerals out of Afghanistan? A train line? The Chinese already tried building one years ago. The Taliban ripped them off good and hard.

    I understand quite well and have been following the Afghan war since 9/11. Before, actually - I remember being surprised by the assassination of the Lion of the Panjshir (it was the signal for 9/11 to go forward). The Taliban have already burned the Chinese several times. They support the East Turkestan secession movement. There is no way for China to get the minerals out of Afghanistan without a line of communication, which they do not have. The Chinese tried building one and the Afghans laughed while they ripped them off.
