Rebuttal:
The virus is small enough to pass through masks, but masks are effective in limiting the spread of respiratory droplets that carry the virus and are effective at preventing transmission. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2776536
Immune systems don't get "sick or deranged".
You can't do this because it's "already tried and can't be done" is literally the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Like, time cube levels of stupid.
Flus and colds are literally different viruses every season, while coronavirus has remained the same virus. Scientists need to predict the flu virus before it happens to develop a vaccine.
"No vaccine prevents you from getting an infection": True, but it does reduce risk. You don't rawdog random whores without a condom because condoms are "olny" 99% effective at preventing pregnancy and STDs. Risk reduction is importanr.
This doctor is literally insane. His arguments make absolutely no sense and have no basis in observed reality.

Coronaviruses cause a significant portion of colds, at least a quarter is what I've read. Fast mutation of corona and rhino viruses was always cited as the reason there would never be a vaccine for the common cold.
The influenza virus moved slowly enough that an existing variant could be predicted to be the major one in the next season, and a vaccine used against that.
Your logic is backwards.
Also, the news claims hospitalized patients testing positive and vaccinated are one third or more (some places in Europe, it's over three quarters) of all ICU patients. Though I can't tell which of those were in the ICU because of the virus, and which were in there for other reasons. But the way it's presented so far doesn't support any risk reduction for the Delta Variant, if we believe the media.

In America, 95-99% of people hospitalized with Covid are unvaccinated.

This is misleading due to the timeframe involved. Look at the time frames of sampling, consider the separation of fully vaccinated vs other (including status unknown), and look at the vaccination percentage over time from other data sources.

Yep, and 99% of COVID-19 hospitalizations are among the UNVACCINATED.
Your argument is trash.

99% of covid hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated not fully vaccinated (that we know of)*
* At a time when that applies to the majority of the population

70% of US adults are vaccinated. Nice try though.

Yep, it's overwhelmingly the unvaccinated who are being hospitalized with COVID-19
Did you read your own data? The majority of adults are vaccinated.

Hospitalized as a result of the virus, or with it? I suspect the latter.
Local ICUs (which are nationally significant) claim about a third of ICU patients are "covid cases", yet that also doesn't tell whether they are there for trauma or for virus (all signs point to more than two thirds of those for trauma, who test positive). And more than three quarters are vaccinated.
None of these number are comparable. It's useless. What they report is who is immoral. What I want to know is, who suffered from immorality?

So the Covid vaccine protects against other sources of illness? Or are you just stupid?
Because of people with the virus in the ICU, 99% of them are unvaccinated.

Or are you just stupid?
Name calling is low on the pyramid of debate and it's immaterial to your argument. Remember to leave it off next time.

Got, it, you don't have an actual argument to make, you have anecdotes and feelings.

Not everyone is a fan of argumentative, aggressive tools either. FYI, acting condescending on the internet and acting completely unreceptive towards other opinions while throwing around insults and pretending you're superior doesn't make you a man.
