Seems too well written to be authentic. Real or not, I'd guess there are real experiences much like this and even kids with conservative moralities.

More important are the fundamental underpinnings of this story. Single parent, isolated kid, social media, unhappiness, mental health, etc. Nothing new, but no solutions here or near.
