The thegatewaypundit.com is trying to indicate the plea bargain will be much better than what the girls deserve.

But all of this is normal for this kind of case. It's not surprising in the least. Because their ages are 13 and 15, they cannot get the usual sentences for murder. Thus with a plea bargain, they'll have to admit guilt and take a number of years in prison. How many years? We cannot know. But this is normal for this stage of the process. And if they do plead guilty, they're families will be eligible for a bonus round, known as the civil lawsuit, whereby the family of Mohammad Anwar should sue the girl's families for a lifetime of check-writing to the Mohammad Anwar memorial foundation.

Also, because it wasn't murder. It's only "felony murder" because someone died during the commission of a felony. They weren't trying to kill the guy.

Yes - though I am not sure he was guilty of a felony. He briefly tresspassed on a building site, but I don't know if that's a proper felony. Moreover, he was not in the process of committing a felony when he was chased for 4 minutes down the street, trapped and shot, fought with the person who shot him, and shot again. He tried to avoid the trucks.

I think this was supposed to be a reply to a different comment.

There would be no checks. Judgments can be very hard to collect, and even wage garnishments can be a losing effort when it's not a successful career situation.

Given their criminal history, it's sounding more like a standard black family than a potential source of redress.
