Why are people so naive? Someone invents an internet platform and everyone flocks to it, they don't pay anything for it's use, they treat it like they were in their lounge room chatting with a group of friends. Then one day the Owner of the platform decides to make some changes, because they OWN it and can do what they like. Now all of a sudden everyone is crying about censorship and civil rights and oppression. If you own a website or blog, can't you pick and choose what stories you introduce? You have the right to exclude anything, because it's your site.

It's the same shit happening with people who rent houses. They don't own the houses, but when all of a sudden they can't pay the rent they start crying about basic human rights and oppression and exploitation. You're homeless, well it sucks to be you, but that's life. That landlord, "and I know a few landlords" worked hard much of their life and sacrificed many pleasures while you spent your money recklessly and didn't bother saving towards a house. So do the right thing, get the fuck out of "Their" house so they can rent it to someone who'll pay. Why should other people suffer just because you were irresponsible.

People use crying to signal that a company has become malicious and should be avoided. There is nothing wrong with crying, it doesn't infringe on your property rights in any way.

When the stated purpose of your platform is drastically different from the real purpose, that's false advertising. It's a crime.

Not if they change the terms of service along the way ;)

But I get your point about crying out in indignation, I hadn't thought of it from that perspective. I just find the whole affair ridiculous because hundreds of millions of people were lured online, under their real identities, and gave themselves up to every intelligence agency and marketing company in the world. I couldn't think of anything more dangerous for your future personal rights than to engage in social media. I never joined any of them and I'm glad of that. I like to keep my opinions and thoughts among my close intimates, and here, behind a wall of anonymity.

Same with banks and credit agencies. You're not entitled to a bank account or a credit-backed service. Nor are you entitled to ICANN's services.

That's right, if you play by the rules you can earn these privileges, like a driver's license, anyone can get one, if they pass the test, but if you fall behind on the payment or break the road rules, it's revoked!

It's not good that people are getting thrown out of their homes I know that, but I don't involve myself emotionally with it. I don't get upset every time I see a dead Kangaroo on the side of the road either, in fact I feel relief that it wasn't me that hit the bastard lol.

Oh and twitter access is really gonna help you eh. How did the last few years of full access help your lifestyle? I say you, because this "Silly little fool" lives in Australia. You've heard of that place? I wouldn't ask you to point to it on a map because you'd probably embarrass yourself "yes I've seen those videos lol" It's the place a lot of Yanks tried to flee to but the doors are firmly shut now! Enjoy your Gulag Mr dissident.

Sour Grapes. You had your chance to flee Nazi Germerica, like the smart ones did, but now, so sorry, the borders are closed and your cattle train is pulling up to the station. "Steig an Bord des Juden"
