It is so clear, that I don't understand why he was not exposed earlier and by many more scientists.
The group-think bias is probably huge in this field.

There's no "probably" to it. Then entire field of medical science is completely corrupted by the pharmaceutical companies.

As you can tell from this press release, this is a minority view held by one Dr. Harvey Risch. The take away here is that we should have open debate, but it's a little disingenuous to claim that Dr. Fauci is running a misinformation campaign... he's using double blind randomized control trials to tell America what the best evidence shows. Dr. Risch seems to think there are problems with RCT in general and that we should take a more holistic view, and that these drugs are more useful in the early stages of the disease. Yeah, let's have this conversation, but the toxic mudslinging between conservatives and liberals only makes it harder to get at the truth.
