He's actually suggesting a non-violent solution where "sides aren't being chosen or played", which is what he hinted at in his title. He's saying himself, and the majority of police know the laws they're being asked to enforce are wrong, and this is an important moment in time for our country. He's saying to fellow police that if they continue going down the path they're currently on (this one), it will result in violence.

By limiting people's freedoms and enforcing laws they don't have the right to enforce as he explains, they've already chosen a side. They just have to literally say "no" to enforcing laws that limit people's freedoms, even if it means losing their jobs. He's actually saying we have to stop with the sides BS, that's part of the title:

"No Left v. Right, No Black v. White, Just Liberty v. Slavery, Lines Being Drawn, Time To Choose"

When he says choose, he's asking the police what path they want to take their society down, and explains where this path they're currently on leads.

But ultimately, I do agree with you for most cases.

Edit: Looks like this thread has eyes on it.

Thank you for clarifying what his actual message was, I had only read the title. I think that's a good message. People need to just wake up and think independently as much as possible. Not merely be a contrarian, but actually come to their own conclusions based on their own thinking. I can't imagine anything being more helpful than that over the long-term. The only thing that has the power to truly free humanity is humanity itself.

also didn't watch, but if anyone wants to summarize, which laws is he referring to?

Just watch from 1:00-3:00 minutes for the gist (really, the first 5 minutes is all you need, 1:00-5:00 he says everything there is to be said), he's talking about laws such as arrests for not abiding by the lock down, pulling people over to see if they're an essential worker with papers proving they are and if not, ticketing or arresting them (which he says his dpt is doing and he's seen happen many times), telling people they can't protest (freedom of assembly), telling people they can't go to church (freedom of religion), etc. He compares the way the police are currently acting to Nazi Germany's Gestapo. He goes through the constitution and lists some things they're being asked to enforce and explains how they go against The Bill of Rights.

Thanks!

Which is why it seems like the correct thing is for people to be able to sue or press criminal charges or something against anyone who infects them or increases their risk of exposure or something, if this kind of "we have to keep people at home" doesn't work. The lockdowns really do increase people's safety, I can see why it's a problem from a rights perspective but the harm is real and it seems like everybody's happy to say "well whatever it's fine if you just die". No! It's not fine with me, wtf?! That's literally advocating for killing me! I want some sort of way to protect myself, those I care about, my city, my country, etc. "your freedom to swing your fist stops at my nose" and all that.

Well, if you and your family are self-isolating and sterilizing, aren't you protecting yourselves? The majority are isolating, most Americans favor a continued government lockdown, only 12% of the population feels the government is going too far (with similar numbers in other polls) - the media is blowing the amount of dissenters out of proportion (along with running an insane propaganda campaign which is why you and others feel the fear you do).

No matter what you believe, there's been a lot of suspect things with the stats and organizations relating to Coronavirus Pandemic. Why do we need the government to be our parents and force us to stay home? If this "pandemic" is really that bad and people still wanna go out, let them - if it's as bad as it's made out to be, they'll all die & you wouldn't have to sue them - it'd be Social Darwinism at work. Survival of the fittest, they were stupid and didn't listen, you weren't and did. And according to polls, that would be a small minority of the American Population - even the majority of the Canadian population is on-board with the quarantine due to the aggressive media campaign.

It's about the freedom to make that choice though. Between this, and ID2020, we are looking at a very scary future where "rights" and "privacy" are non-existent things. We have the constitution to prevent the government from taking away these rights, yet they still are attempting to, and not purely for your safety; they have their own agenda too.

"Give me liberty, or give me death"

Some people would rather die "free", than die a slave to their government. This is kind of like a canary for some people who are being red-pilled by this experience.

If its "real" then you can chalk it up to Natural Selection and Darwin.. if its not ( which it really isn't to begin with)- then you have just a normal day in the US. Freedom of choice is not on the Bill of Rights, but it is inalienable- and frankly one of the last rights we really have in this clown world. Choose to think for yourselves, and not what these assholes that don't and never have gave a shat about you tell you that chocolate pudding is now vanilla, this is the new norm so deal with it.

No, "you have to just stay home all the time if you don't want to get the plague, forever really" isn't acceptable to me, and infringes on MY freedoms. Going around spreading plague is the equivalent of spraying bullets out of your body everywhere you go, infecting and hurting people. It's swinging your fist into my nose, which you do not have the freedom to do. Don't choose a remedy for it that infringes on rights, glad we're looking out for that, but don't leave me without some remedy if somebody harms me, my loved ones, my city, my country, etc, in this way.

That would be the Bill of Rights sir.
