Republicans and Torries are happy with the grifting. Democrats, Labour and LibDems aren't properly organized to address consipracy grifters. So I think it's not political. According to a Channel 4 (UK) documentary last night, one person made her complaints known, and her rape, recently, and then another heard about it and went on record, and then another, etc. Thus I'd say this is part of the 'me too' movement to speak out against sexual abuse.
