To be honest, there are situations where men should be speaking up. Not because of some men vs. women dichotomy (I think it's entirely consistent to be a feminist and an MRA since both seek a just society for each sex), but because sometimes guys get a raw deal.

Not all men are good people, and not all women are good people. Not all men are good providers or leaders or protectors. Not all women are bad providers or leaders or protectors. Not all men are bad parents, not all women are good parents. As long as the systems make broad assumptions about people based on sex instead of looking at the individual, that's something worth fighting against.

Now on the other hand, something I've been seeing more of lately is something of the opposite, where we take people's individuality away to try to force people into roles they don't want. If a man wants to be a provider and protector, more power to him. If a woman wants to be a nurturer, so be it. Just as it shouldn't be just to assume they do want to assume these roles, it's just as wrong to assume they don't, or that there's something wrong or evil about doing so.
