Mens Rights Activists say that gender roles damage boys and put men in a disadvantaged position. That gender roles are designed to make men disposable. Always supposed to provide and protect women even when they risk their own lives.

I say "Yes!" and that's a good thing. This boy is a hero and she is lucky to have been protected by him.
Men are disposable. A society is healthy when men want to provide for and protect their women. Hate between men and women has no place. Both need eachother and have different qualities.

Men are disposable

You lost me there.

[–]Dragonerne 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (10 children)

It's nature. If half the men die protecting their community, society will still survive for the next generation. If they don't protect their society, then they will be enslaved by men that will.

[–]King_Brutus 11 insightful - 3 fun11 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 3 fun -  (5 children)

I wouldn't call men "disposable" though. Responsibility for protection is one thing but disposable isn't the word.

[–]Dragonerne 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Right, I agree. I was trying to own their wording.

[–]King_Brutus 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Ah gotcha, now I see.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I guess it is technically true, what does the word dispose mean, it has different meanings, you dispose of trash so it sounds bad, but it also means that trash was something that served a purpose and is now sent away, like you dispose of the ashes of someone that died by pouring them into the sea if that is what they would have wanted, and there is nothing wrong with that.

[–]Trajan 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Expendable is a better term.

[–]flugegeheimen 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

It's nature

society

Make up your mind? This pseudo-biological bullshit about gender roles being natural and mandating all men to be disposable for the sake of all women is relatively new and is basically a reflection of current western social ladder where all women are privileged as a group.

Two hundreds years ago if you suggested that a man from nobility obligated to sacrifice his life to save a dozen of dirty peasant women you would be considered an absolute retard.

There is nothing natural about men being disposable/expendable/whatever, even as a social misandric norm it's not set in stone.

If half the men die protecting their community, society will still survive for the next generation. If they don't protect their society, then they will be enslaved by men that will.

The major difficulty of making a society with ape descendants rather than ants is that former have a huge brain telling them that next generation or who enslaves who doesn't really matter when you are dead, rotten and eaten by maggots.

[–]Dragonerne 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Nobility aren't the ones dying to protect their community. They're the ones ordering half the men to die to protect their community. When half the men are dead and the dozen of dirty peasant women survive, then the nobility repopulates the lands with a couple of bastards.

Is this unfair? No. This is a way for the lowerclass men to bring their genes to the next generation. By fighting, the community survives and their genes survives through the community. If they did not fight, they would render their women to the next tribe that would and their genes would not survive.

MRAs are bitches that believe in equality which doesn't exist. Men and women are not the same and we have different roles to fulfill in a healthy society.

[–]flugegeheimen 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Is this unfair? No.

Yes? Sorry to put it like that but not only people generally don't and didn't give a shit about genes, for the most history no one even knew genes exist. Lineage is not the same thing unless by "community" you mean family and being disposed actually harms it.

MRAs are bitches that believe in equality which doesn't exist.

They believe that men are human like everyone else and supposed to have human rights (it's in the name). I know, it's a very impudent audacious idea.

[–]Dragonerne 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

people generally don't and didn't give a shit about genes

Completely wrong. Everything you do is a function of preservation of your genes.

[–][deleted] 9 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

MRA's don't deny any of that. They merely ask, what is our reward? Why should we continue to do it?

[–]Dragonerne 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I can't stand her sorry. MRAs and LibFems need to stop whining. Men and women are not at war. Its not a competition. We are here to help eachother and to provide for eachother.

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Maybe it's a case of "if you stop whining, we will". To be frank I provide for my gf, and she provides to me, because we are both fairly down to earth and conservative. When you start demanding I provide for the shrill purple haired degenerates of the rest of womankind, I would literally push them out of the lifeboat and spit on them as they sank.

[–]jet199 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

You don't get a reward.

The purpose is the continuation of the species not fragile egos getting stroked.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

But what has the species done for me lately? Fuck'em.

[–]bald-janitor 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Ew

[–]flugegeheimen 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The purpose is the continuation of the species

It's done for humans then, we have an over-population problem actually. Time for women to pick up the duty of being disposable.

[–]Questionable 8 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

Oh, and here I thought it was that he was simply larger and older than her, and took the initiative as the elder sibling. I'm sure in many cases an older sister would do the same for her younger brother as well. These roles that you are assigning them are those of mature adults, postpubescent if you will. There are no men or woman in this story. Only heroes.

[–]Dragonerne 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Its instinctual from you're born, but you're right that an elder sister would also protect the younger brother in such a situation :)

[–]bald-janitor 1 insightful - 3 fun1 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Ok female

[–]Sw0rdofDam0cles 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Males aren't disposable, merely more durable than females. MRA's are controlled opposition agents who exploit general male frustration to extract resources from men at vulnerable times in the form of tax-free online donations. All western media is designed to ensure enmity between men, women, and hostility towards ones culture, kin, and country. Once you understand this, you will understand that their sociopathy as being no different than the inverse of feminists in the past.

If MRA's, feminists, or any cultural rebel ever spoke the gods honest truth, (((the elites))) would have ruthlessly, and efficiently silenced them the moment it drew their attention.

[–]BigFatRetard 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

To be honest, there are situations where men should be speaking up. Not because of some men vs. women dichotomy (I think it's entirely consistent to be a feminist and an MRA since both seek a just society for each sex), but because sometimes guys get a raw deal.

Not all men are good people, and not all women are good people. Not all men are good providers or leaders or protectors. Not all women are bad providers or leaders or protectors. Not all men are bad parents, not all women are good parents. As long as the systems make broad assumptions about people based on sex instead of looking at the individual, that's something worth fighting against.

Now on the other hand, something I've been seeing more of lately is something of the opposite, where we take people's individuality away to try to force people into roles they don't want. If a man wants to be a provider and protector, more power to him. If a woman wants to be a nurturer, so be it. Just as it shouldn't be just to assume they do want to assume these roles, it's just as wrong to assume they don't, or that there's something wrong or evil about doing so.

Interesting. Are you an alt account of @Dragonerne, by any chance?

[–]BigFatRetard 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No, I'm just me, the one and only big fat retard.

I've got a job and a life, no time to go around running legions of alts talking to one another.

Great kid.

[–]philosopher 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

He might be too young to get a badass scar, but he'll still be a man on the inside.

[–]Dragonerne 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Yes, he just gained several years of confidence.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

truth is that is going to mess up his face for life, he will look ugly, possible become an incel when he likely would have been a chad, he may end up resenting his sister for this.

[–]Dragonerne 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

His sister will set him up with some of her gfs. He will be fine and will have a great story to tell on 1st dates.

Looks count for women, but looks count like a quarter as much, and he's going to have a story showing what a bad-ass he is every single time a person asks about that scar.

He will have to wear a plaque with that story though otherwise he won't have a chance to tell it. Do you often nag random disfigured/disabled strangers to tell you how they have got their scars?

    [–]BigFatRetard 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There are two ways to meet women: cold calling or through your social circle. The former is what you do if you're really charismatic or really physically attractive, the latter is probably a more sustainable way to meet people because they get a chance to hear your story without the "buy now" pressure of a cold call.

    [–]Canbot 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I hope he recovered fully, that is a lot of stitches on his face.

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

i hate big dogs, and most dog owners

    [–]Moirawr 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Brave kid! Bad dogs make my blood boil. They kill and maim people and advocacy groups try to save them. Euthanize every bad dog immediately and spend those resources saving the millions of shelter dogs that HAVENT tried to eat children. Like that dog that ate a child’s arm had to be “saved”.... but why? People have seriously fucked up priorities.

    [–]BigFatRetard 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Every bad dog we keep alive is a good dog we have to put down. Sad but true.

Poor kid :( I wish both of them wouldn't have gone through this, but it is really wholesome how he helped his little sister

I would be really proud if I were his parent, a very sweet kid indeed

    [–]Evola 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Men are valuble by what they do so looks are less important. Women need to look beatiful because children are vunerable so she needs to look like she can take care of at least herself or at least have the network to protect the vunerable like OP. He's gained a few marks and a lifetime of stories.

    [–]BigFatRetard 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Women need to look beautiful because physical symmetry and other elements of beauty indicate physical health. Even as late as 100 years ago, childbirth was an incredibly dangerous thing for women. It often resulted in death of the woman, or the child, or both. Therefore, choosing the most ideal individual to have a child with has an evolutionary advantage because it ensures that the child will survive to adulthood and pass on their genes.

    [–]christnmusicreleases 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    Give this kid a medal.

    [–]Tarrock 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

    Pibble?

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

If that was a pit bull attack, looks like he got lucky it was not worse. Pit bull attacks are the most horrific of dog attacks.

    [–]_XEAL_ 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The kid should be praised for what he did, not because he saved a girl, but because he saved a person and, in this case, a sibling.
