I understand that it is a historical fact that Jews in Europe have suffered centuries of oppression, culminating with an attempt to exterminate them. That doesn't make Jewish people any better than any one else. They're people, which means they can be both good or bad (but like all people, more often bad).

My wife likes to say that every underdog is just waiting for the chance to be an overdog so they can stick the boot in. Thanks to American support, especially the evangelical Christian Zionists, Israel is now a regional overdog, and they are becoming everything they hated when they were the underdog.

Without American money and weapons, they would be no better or worse than, say, France or Canada.
