When I type "Lakewood Church Shooter" into Google News, I see coverage from CNN, the New York Times, ABC News, the Associated Press, Fox News, WaPo, NBC, and hundreds of others.

How is the media "not covering it"?

Of course there were. As usual, right-wing outlets like Fox News and The Daily Mail put "trans" in the headline; centrist outlets say in the body that Genesse Moreno used to be known as Jeffrey; and left-wing outlets omit the information entirely.

Just look at the search results. You see dozens of articles in all three categories.

If it were front-page news every time a straight white guy shot someone, the front page of every newspaper would be nothing but examples of straight white guys shooting someone. It would just be ten different stories about it, every single day.

I think it's known common sense that front pages don't look like that.

There are about 40 gun homicides in the United States every single day. It's not rare at all. In fact, it's so common that most gun homicides only make it into a local paper, and some don't make the news at all.
