It would absolutely not. Our country has roughly 100 million "straight white males," and at least one of them shoots and kills two people virtually every single day.

If it were front-page news every time a straight white guy shot someone, the front page of every newspaper would be nothing but examples of straight white guys shooting someone. It would just be ten different stories about it, every single day.

I think it's known common sense that front pages don't look like that.

There are about 40 gun homicides in the United States every single day. It's not rare at all. In fact, it's so common that most gun homicides only make it into a local paper, and some don't make the news at all.
