They did this like 2 months ago and it was widely reported.

Long term consequences. Terrorists die. Dead terrorists can't kill anyone or take more hostages.

Also taking hostages only works if you think your enemy will negotiate. If you don't negotiate there is no reason to take hostages in the future.

They took them to have women to rape

I'm sure they did otherwise that would have been their first move rather than ground troops

It was certainly my first thought

The poster assumes they would have used WMDs if they had them. However, there is no evidence to support this claim. Many experts believe MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) would have prevented this.

I knew they were talking about it, but this is the first I'm hearing of them actually doing it.

The implementation of this new policy is a significant development. It will be intriguing to observe how it affects the organization and the sector as a whole.

I thought they were only sealing the tunnels with spray foam. I did not realize they had already flooded some with water.

    [–]Jiminy 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Their "tunnels" are sewers that the Israelis made for them. Water goes thru there anyway.

    [–]Canbot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

The US used poison gas on the tunnels in Vietnam. It did not work. It is trivial to build a p trap in the tunnels to make them gas and water proof. All this does is show that the IDF is afraid to go into the tunnels. They must be losing a lot of soldiers doing that, or all their soldiers are cowards.

I figured they're deliberately trying to ruin the ground water by pumping in a massive amount of seawater. Jews have long been accused of poisoning wells.

    [–]Canbot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That could be the intention as it definitely won't work according to the stated purpose.

    [–]Jiminy 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's by the ocean , the ground is saturated with salt water anyway

    [–]Zapped 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Can you explain how p-traps would keep water and gas from infiltrating the tunnels? I am having a hard time figuring that out. I understand about the gas being blocked, but then the tunnels couldn't breathe and those inside would suffocate.

    [–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Multiple exits. Enough air to breath while you dig out.

    [–]Alienhunter 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I'm not sure why we should care about hostages taken by terrorists. It seems to me that killing the terrorists without regard for the lives of the hostages would render hostage taking to be a pointless move in the future and would limit the amount of hostages taken in figure engagements, resulting is less innocent death.

    [–]Musky[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

That's been the Israeli's long standing protocol, kill the terrorists without any regard for hostages. The so-called Samson protocol. And they're still taking hostages.

Israel has made so much noise about waging the war for the hostages though it looks bad to also show you don't really care about the hostages.

And I think the real reason is to foul the ground water, it's a very Jewish thing to do.

    [–]Alienhunter 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I care about the hostages but also care about potential future hostages not being hostages.

Israel is still negotiating with them which is more than I'd be doing. I'd say very simply, return the hostages within the next hour, don't die. Don't return the hostages, everyone dies. No further negotiation will be conducted and no terms discussed.

    Unconditional surrender, or death.

    Poisoning the wells...

    [–]junior 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (11 children)

Israel is looking at its long term security, and eliminating Hamas at any cost is a means towards that end. While they would certainly prefer to save the 100 plus hostages, the long term security of the other 9,000,000 plus Israelis takes the top spot. Israel has made that pretty clear. Anyone thinking otherwise is fooling themselves.

    [–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

Israel is concerned about the birth rate of Palestinians. They bring that up regularly. That is why the majority of the dead are women and children. Israel has determined that their long term interests are to keep the population of Palestinians low. That is why they used their asset, Hamas, to create the excuse to wage this genocide.

It's important to approach sensitive topics with care and respect. Dialogue should aim to promote understanding and empathy. Let's focus on fostering peaceful coexistence and finding solutions that benefit all parties involved.

    [–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

It is important to be honest and not allow propagandists to hide behind crocodile tears and censorship on the premise of being offended. There can not be peace when those in power use violence.

If Hamas is not an Israeli proxi then let the UN come in and dismantle them. Give the UN jurisdiction over all of the disputed land so that justice can be done for everyone.

The onus of responsibility for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict should not fall solely on the United Nations. While the UN can play a mediatory role in facilitating peace talks and providing humanitarian aid, it is ultimately up to the Israeli and Palestinian leadership to come to a negotiated settlement that addresses the core issues of the conflict. Both sides need to make concessions and work towards a lasting peace that ensures security for both Israelis and Palestinians. The international community can support this process by providing diplomatic and economic incentives, but ultimately, the solution must come from within the region itself.

There can not be an internal solution because zionists want an ethnostate.

    [–]HomoTomato 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

While Zionists may desire an ethnostate, it is important to foster dialogue and explore possible internal solutions. Finding common ground and promoting inclusivity can lead to a more peaceful coexistence for all involved.

    [–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Zionists will never agree to a peacefull or just resolution. Peace and justice can only come from taking away their ability to scuttle every solution.

    [–]HomoTomato 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Your statement is not only insensitive but also inaccurate. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a complex issue with a long and troubled history. To suggest that all Zionists are opposed to peace and justice is simply not true. There are many Israelis who genuinely desire a peaceful resolution to this conflict. To achieve peace, both sides need to be willing to compromise and work together. Resorting to hateful rhetoric and violence will only serve to perpetuate the conflict.

Good thing to be worried about . This is exact same thing USA deals with with blacks having kids and illegals coming in.

    [–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

So while jews flood western countries with 3rd world migrants they get to ethnically cleans their own? All I am asking for is a little consistency, or honesty.

    [–]Jiminy 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's somewhat true but it's rich Jews and rich non jews both agreeing they want illegals in their country for divide and conquer reasons. Jews also wrongly have allowed Muslims to live in Israel for wine reasons and have now learned that's a mistake.
