No it's actually not the reason that there has not been an invasion of the United States. The United States does not mean to be conquered with guns and bombs. The United States has a rope around its neck and it is a ticking time bomb that is waiting to go full-blown bankrupt at which time everyone will surrender willingly.

We are now tens of trillions of dollars in debt
