You have some good ideas there: for ex, if a cop is kneeling on a guy’s neck, he’s obviously trying to murder the poor man. It’s attempted murder so you have the right, maybe even the obligation, to intervene.

And of course, the logic is the same if burglars smash in the front of a store to rob it. They should be shot if at all possible, hopefully before they contributed to the gene pool.
