What's really sad is that I held my breath waiting for the "homeowner is under investigation" moment and thankfully, it never came. This should be the norm. Burglar breaks in, homeowner shoots them before they can hurt anyone or steal anything. In my mind, if you break into a home, you are negligent with regard to your own safety; you deserve whatever you get.
