Ah; that old fossil, the French Revolution.

Here's a tldr: An out-of-power, but still 1%-er clique roused the rabble with that "liberté égalité fraternité" agitprop, and recruited enough pitchfork-wielding bullet-sponges to prevail.

Except once the in-power, entrenched 1%-ers* ran out of bullets, what really changed for the peons? Another bunch of 1%-ers took over. The survivors went right back to being peons, and were 'rewarded' with 15 years of military rule.

Sure but Napoleon was legit the best thing to happen to France since Charlemagne and dare I say Europe. Shame they ganged up on him and exiled him to the ass end of nowhere.
