It really isn't spread just by "close contact". It needs to get under the skin to infect.
95% of those who are infected are gay men.
There is no sign of community spread.
Children are being infected because they are being raped and abused. They aren't gay but I guess you can call it "having anal sex" rather than rape if you like.
As of yet we aren't seeing it spread to classmates or families of those infected children which we would have seen months ago if the issue was really just "close contact".

Yep, 95% spread amongst gay men pretty much means that monkeypox is spread by gay men. And in this world of ours, I'm willing to wager that at least 3% of the non-gay-men are 'trans women', aka gay men.
So that leaves us with 1% sexually abused kids and 1% bug chasing fag hags.
