Their entire "Comfortable Life" relies on the exploitation of the Global South,

This is completely disproven by the fact that before imperialism Europe was prosperous while the areas that are now 3rd world countries were not.

If globalization were to be ended and international trade and "exploitation" were to stop the west would become more prosperous as a result of the forced onshoreing of jobs while the rest of the world would fall into depression.

As in the 15th century? That's just completely untrue. Especially considering that the worst Imperialists, the Anglo-Saxons, were dirt-poor while the ones which don't really care either way and are now outright siding with the PRC, the Mediterranean, were the richest and cared the least for it. Even among Europeans there is a correlation between past poverty and present reliance on Imperialism.
