Because Ukraine is our puppet a poor underdog and needs our help!

The sad part is there are even some Republicans simping for this Democrat propaganda, because they're bought off by our war industry and have never seen a country they don't want the US starting a war in.

They see huge deposits of natural gas at the other end of this conflict. If it goes on forever: they win. If they get central Asia's gas: they win. If everyone in the world sees through the BS: they win anyway because they have the weapons, the air and sea power, the air waves, the courts, and everything else that exerts power. I hope they are wrong.

I agree, I think that's basically the play. If Russia wins, the war still let's the US spend $1 to cost Russia $10. And if Russia loses, then the US gets massive leverage over the economy in eastern Europe.

Granted, the US doesn't really have even $1 to spend on this, and there are trickle down effects in the global economy that's hurting everyone, even the US. But hey, we've never let basic morality stop us from starting a war with someone who doesn't want to be under our heel.
