I heard of similar concepts employed in Japan I think, but rather than ask them to produce smut, they would ask children to come up with a business plan or idea instead.

It is child sexual grooming and there should be no ultimatums or empty threats. They should all be immediately fired and prosecuted.

I don't get why they are even given the option. If they were charged would that not generate enough pressure to make them resign?

Also I think there should be a further investigation to root out who else was involved and even cane up with this crap. I worked for my provincial board of education for 3 years. We had a whole floor of people who would work on the years curriculum for just primary. A whole floor for mid school and a whole floor for high school.

Last, this IS a form of child pornography. This puts children in a position of write a sexualized assignment or face consequences. Having to share a sexual fantasy with your grade 11 teacher or you fail the assignment is 100% child abuse.

I hope this is a wake up call for parents but I doubt we will be seeing much of this in the MSM.

Definitely inappropriate and the teachers should face consequences, but it's not child pornography. It seems political and a knee-jerk reaction, the school administrators claim they were unaware of the prompts.

It counts as something but I don't think child porn is the correct accusation. Unless you're straight up going with a rigid interpretation of the law. Still inappropriate though.
