Not only is that the most illogical connection for "supporting authoritarianism", but the entire premise is ass backwards. Authoritarians own the media and demand that their media is trusted. They suppress all non authorized media, exactly how the tech oligopoly is doing. Reality is literally 180* from what you are claiming.

The media we have is owned by a tiny collection of people who are very inconspicuously similar in very important ways. They have demonstrated many times that they operate in concert. The way they all decided to start banning people like Alex Jones all together, as if they shared a brain. Calling out this authoritarian propaganda machine is the exact opposite of supporting authoritarianism.

Why do you insist on oversimplifying news media into 'media' and considering all of is under the ownership of authoritarians? You do realise that Alax Jones is funded by authoritarians, don't you, and everything he says is a lie, meant to support the Koch brothers and the extreme right? Study the media bias chart in my post above. Authoritarians can only gain power if they can convince you that all of the news media is the same, or that news media that do not support the disinformation of Alax Jones are themselves the corrupt. And if you don't believe me, ask others.
