FTA: "Democratic lawmakers in New York state are pushing a bill that would require gun purchasers to turn over to the state their social-media profiles and search histories."
The obvious question is how?
How can they prove that you even have or had a social media account at the time of purchase? And how is "social media" being defined? Who keeps access to their search history? They expect you to make backups of that data on every web browser and computer you use?
Regardless of the insanity of it, I don't see anything enforceable here unless you're stupid enough to use your real name for an account.
